Welcome to my blog! Rather than review a restaurant for its character, its flaws and the entire meal that is presented, my concentration will be on just one particular food item each month, then visit four different restaurants to find out who has the best of that particular food. Which restaurant has the very best Reuben sandwich? Who has the best steak or French onion soup around? Where can I find the best linguine and clams?

Using my discerning palate, I will eat, write a review, and dicuss each week what I think are the very best foods to grace the table of my fellow Richmonders. At the end of every month when I have eaten my last bite, I will pick which restaurant I believe has the very best of that food.

Having the good fortune of being born and raised in Richmond, and spending the majority of my life here, I have seen many, many restaurants come and go. There are countless ingredients in having a successful restaurant, but the most constant one is to have the owner and/or chef put their heart and soul into every single morsel of food that comes out of that kitchen.

Good food can be found in many establishments. Great food takes passion, patience, and the ability to care for what is being served to the customer. I hope you enjoy my blog.
